Privacy Policy
How MagicNinja Countdown Timer Bar collects, uses, stores, and deletes merchant data.
Effective date: February 21, 2026.
1. Scope
This policy applies to merchants who install and use MagicNinja Countdown Timer Bar on Shopify.
2. Data we process
- Shop identifier and installation/session metadata.
- OAuth/session fields provided by Shopify (for example: scope, token/session metadata, optional staff profile fields).
- App configuration and analytics records for countdown bars (bar name/type/status, impressions, clicks, timestamps).
- Billing status and active subscription details.
3. How we use data
- Authenticate merchants and keep app sessions active.
- Render and manage countdown bars on storefronts.
- Provide performance metrics inside the app dashboard.
- Enable billing, plan checks, and subscription management.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide merchant support.
4. Customer personal data
The app is not designed to store customer profiles or order history in its own database. Customer privacy webhooks are handled and acknowledged by the app, and customer records are not persisted by this project.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell merchant data. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers that host the application and database, strictly for service delivery, security, and reliability.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain data only as long as needed to operate the app and meet legal obligations. On `app/uninstalled` and `shop/redact`, this app removes stored shop sessions and countdown bar records associated with the shop. Merchants can also request deletion via support@magic.ninja.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational controls to protect data in transit and at rest based on our hosting environment.
